Joy

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.” 1Thessalonians 5:16-18

For this season of worry and disappointment, disillusionment and anger- choose to rejoice. All these other things will pass, but what your children will remember is the smile on your face. “Learn to cultivate joy and therefore enjoy its sweetness during every season of your life. Joy, like any other fruit requires intentional choice. In order to reap it we must make a conscious decision to do so.” So said the devotional I read this morning.

Thank you Jesus for this reminder. May you never tire of reminding me, and may I never tire of smiling at my children.
