Shouldn’t it give one comfort when you’re taught that for each of us, there is at least one?

Angels are tasked with helping us fulfill our purpose on earth; to help us keep to or find a path that helps us realize the destiny that God has written for us.

To guard us from straying, to protect us from our own oft-misguided willfulness.

It should give us comfort, though it rarely does. But if you think about it, it does make you feel better about your children, doesn’t it? That when your earthly eyes aren’t watching, someone else is, and always. Whether you believe it or not, the hint, the suggestion, it brings a sense of peace.
