In my life I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by some amazing women. My mother was a force to be reckoned with, beautiful and wacky, strong and fiercely intelligent… I was followed by 6 wonderful sisters, and my awesome daughter who is a constant surprise and whose hardheadedness is rivaled only by mine.
There are places in the world where women can’t be celebrated. Here, mothers, daughters, sisters, wives; what they have in common is that they are lesser than just human. Commodities to be bought, sold, bartered with… It’s cruel and an abomination and we should all do what we can to help stop it. There will be wars, civil unrest, and all sorts of situations on the news that come and go but we can’t forget the people that so often fall through the cracks. I dedicate much of what I do to them. I stand with them.
